Christmas might be better with a touch of Halloween

Sometimes it does seem like Christmas would be better with a touch of Halloween, at least to me. I'm the sort who would leave the bones on my porch and the ghost in my window all year round if I could.

Once I heard about this guy who--for a Christmas decoration--hung a plastic Rudolph lawn ornament upside-down from a tree in his front yard. He used strings of red lights to make intestines. The neighbors made him take it down. I suppose I can see how it might be inappropriate for a child to see--fake though it may be--Rudolph gutted in somebody's yard, but it's still too bad. Sounded like a creative idea. Maybe he could get away with it on Halloween.
